Fabric and String—“Two Sisters” Traveling Stash—August 25, 2013

Hiya!!! Wow, did I ever score this week!!! I got a box in the mail, a big box. It had the “Two Sisters” Traveling Stash in it. Now you’re thinking, “What in the world is that???” Well, I’ll tell ya, it’s a mini-stash, full of crafting and quilting goodies. I can take the things that I like out, and replace them with other things, and keep what I took out. SOOOOOO cool, what a neat idea. Here’s what came in the stash:

There’s purse handles, applique pieces, needles, patterns, needlework kits, charm squares, and lots of other fabric pieces. Yummy!!! This is being done for blog artists, so leave me a comment if you’d like to have the chance to get the Traveling Stash next!!!

I’ve been working on Julien and Marisa’s blanket, a bit everyday. This is gonna take me a while to do. I’m almost finished with the first row:ImageSorry the colors are so washed out, I don’t have very good places to take pics, but believe me, it’s turning out great, if I do say so myself.

I’m ready to put the borders on the baby quilts, yay!!! We still haven’t gotten the backing, so I’ll be stuck when that is done.

In the Quilted_Table strip swap, we finished up the patriotic swap. Some beautiful strips, from some very generous ladies. Here they are:

And these are the strips that I sent:

I know that we’re only required to send two strips, but I wasn’t thrilled with the pale blue stars, and the fireworks fabric wasn’t quilt quality, so I was generous and sent all four strips. I can’t often share much, but when I can, I do.

OH, I got another wonderful package in the mail last week too. I try to follow some blog hops, usually quilty, sewing ones. I checked out all the entries for the Ho Ho Ho blog hop at the first of the month, and commented on everyone’s posts. Some of the participants have giveaways with the hops, and I won one!!! From the blog, A Little Bit of Lorene, I won a wonderful mini quilt. I had a choice of four to choose from, and I got the one that I wanted! ImageImageLorene sent the sweetest card with it, and I can’t wait to use it this holiday season!!!

That’s about it for now, will have more sometime in the next week or so. Take care, blessed be, hugs!!! Pam
