Hiya!!! Wow, what a day! I actually woke up before noon :O I opened my eyes, looked at the clock, and it read 9:59, and it’s set 10 minutes early. We’ll see how long that lasts, lol. I called DS and got things arranged for next week to work on the dresses. We’re gonna get swatches of the rest of the fabric that she has, see what seam binding and thread I need and go to Hancock’s on Wednesday (I get my senior discount then :P). She was surprised I was up too lol.
I called and left a message for Dean to see if he wanted to meet somewhere for supper, and got in the shower. After I got dressed, I had time to check some email before Dean called me back. Now you have to understand, I have 4 email accounts, and usually stay WAY behind on all of them. So every minute is used that I’m on the computer. After I talked to Dean (he said yes to supper :)), I went to the post office, and got a nice big box of fabric—YAY!!! After supper, I went to DD1’s to show her the baby fabric that I ordered for her baby shower quilts. She liked it—Whew!!—and told me that one shower is a week away. I just looked at her. She laughed and said she could give it to her later. I told her that was a good thing, cuz I probably wouldn’t have one ready in a week. Just talked to her a lil bit ago, and I’m gonna get to see DGson2 this Sunday. His birthday is the 18th, and we haven’t seen him since Christmas. I miss him so much. But he’ll be 16 in 2014, and maybe things will change then. I sure do hope so.
One of my greatest talents is falling. I fell about a month ago at the movie theater. There were steps and I just didn’t see them, instead I tripped up them. Went down on both knees, but I didn’t spill the popcorn—ok, maybe a couple dozen pieces—but not a lot. This afternoon I fell in DD1’s driveway—on my left knee again. No blood, but it sure did sting. The day before my college graduation I fell at the senior luncheon. Down the steps that time. When my foot was still swollen and hurting a week later, I went to the doctor. Yep, a broken foot. Got to wear a boot for about 6 weeks then. I’m really good at falling.
I also started reading a new book today. The Wizard’s Daughter by Catherine Coulter. I never realized how many books she has written until I started this one. She started writing in 1978, and has written over 70 books. If the rest of this book is as good as the start has been, I’ll be getting more of her works.
Well, gonna shut this thing down and head to bed. Hope to get some sewing done tomorrow—gonna aim for finishing 2 dresses. They are very simple, so it’s just a matter of waking up and not feeling like a zombie. Here’s to a great weekend for everyone. Blessed be, hugs!!!
